Ginge
Yesterday's debacle pretty much confirms who is our best centre-back. I expect him back for the next game.

If Collins is ever our first choice centre back we are in real trouble.

Ok for him to be our third or fourth choice but should never be a first 11 starter

I know, peroni. It's a line from the Simpsons.

I know Edward.

It was artistic license.

Not everything in life is cut and dried (or indeed cut and pasted)

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Re: Ginge
Ginge is our least talented centre back, which is why, under Allardyce, he is fast becoming our best option.

Just another reason to sack the fat cunt out of here.

That said, I love Collins. Never puts in less than 110!!!!%

SurfaceAgent and football don't mix.

If you think him saying Ginge is our best defender proves he knows fuck all about football, he was mentioning MATT TAYLOR & PAUL SCHOLES in the same breath not long ago.

Apparently they were both nothing but 'chasers'

Now, that there is an OUTSTANDING lack of understanding football.

Why start Reid who doesn't want to be here

BFS said

"We warned the lads about Crystal Palace's set plays because 50% of their goals have come from set-plays"

So why leave out our best defender against set plays?

Re: Ginge
Definitely runs his socks off, but usually when he gets the ball he seems caught in at least three minds. Yesterday, towards the end, he finally woke up and went for the throat.

If only that second big dipper had gone in, I would have fancied a famous hat-trick.

Re: Ginge
Bit of a headless chicken but he never gives-up a lost ball... Works tremendously hard... Him and Sakho are like our first-line of defence...

Valencia doesn't usually fight, he usually dithers and loses possession. The last 20 minutes yesterday was his best display by far. Whatever gave him the hump is what we need pre-match. Sam should invite some Palace players in to the dressing room to slap him about a bit before kick off.

He needs get mean and ruthless more often and not wait until we are 3-0 down.

Re: Ginge
A gutless 3-0 loss to Chelsea will see our fans going fucking spare...

Not sure if the likes of Downing - good player but a bottle-job - are up for a scrap though?...

The likes of Valencia, Sakho and Kouyate will fight tooth and nail though but we need the whole side to get at them...

Re: Ginge
Horses for courses, and looking at all three of their goals, with the benefit of hindsight, I would have Collins challenging them before any of our other players, and perhaps Carrol would have helped too, but that sadly wasn't an option.

Good defender is Collins, an old fashoimed stopper.

Will be interesting to see where Reid ends up.

We agree on Glen Murray then!

Re: Ginge
Tomkins and Reid couldn't handle a Championship level striker yesterday.
Ginge doesn't let strikers bully him ever.

dicksie3 2:22 Sun Mar 1
Re: Ginge
Surface is right in that Collins would've been able to handle Murray much better than Tomkins could as he's physically much stronger and, aerially, he's superb...

This was the sort of game for Collins and, even though he didn't start, Tomkins was having a made and should've been subbed-off at half-time... He was that shit...

Maybe it could've been a different story if Collins had played but you'd expect Tomkins or Reid to be able too stand-up to a fucking Championship-level CARTHORSE like Murray...

Game's gone now though... If we surrender against Chelsea on Wednesday night, a proper derby game for us, then there'll be a lot of abuse streaming from the stands...

Re: Ginge
Rubbish. The team were crap all round. Tomkins and Reid are the best central pairing. Collins is a step down, good reserve when fit.
